18/5/2009 About time I got on here again. Unfortunately the sausage sizzling at Ilam village has not gone as well as I would have liked, but, I have permission to have a go on campus now which is fan-tastic! I have approached Zonta, Lions and Rotary for some help, and followed up with an email today, so hopefully I will get some responses there. I did my first auctionable goods letterbox drop today (only about 100) and have received one response already, which is very promising! I am still struggling finding the courage to approach businesses about the t-shirts, but I am hoping to quit stalling and get that up and running real soon. I think I am a little too aware of the monetary side of things at the moment. A lot of the work I have been doing has not really paid off in dollars, but in awareness. I guess it is just a matter of amping it up, and getting more awareness of what I am doing out there so I can follow that up with some donations! I have an idea to go around community groups and give a presentation for a set amount of money, but we will see about that, I a have soo much on at the moment it is hard to juggle all these ideas at once! Anyway, thanks for popping by!
4/5/2009 Hello!!
So, finally my fund raising ideas are getting moving! I have had my first sausage sizzle at Ilam village, which went quite well, and this morning I had an interview with RDU (Canterbury University's student radio)
I am planning on getting permission to have sausage sizzles on-campus this week, ready to get into it for next week. Hopefully also going to get some letters written up to Zonta, Rotary e.c.t, to see if they can help me out!
Otherwise, I am still trying to find T-Shirt sponsors, where local businesses donate $500 to have their logo placed on the back of 100 t-shirts distributed to Canty Uni students, and they also get a few other bonuses- A mention on RDU, and in CANTA, their logo at all of my sausage sizzles, and on all online auctions.
I am also tossing around the idea of selling all my stuff at the end of the year, and having a huge trade me auction!

will keep you posted as to how everything turns out!
