Our mission is to connect athletes, events, not-for-profit organisations -
charities, schools, clubs, churches and any other not-for-profit organisation -
and donors in a simple, secure and FUN way.
FundraiseOnline has been providing internet based fundraising solutions to
charities and corporate customers around the world since 2004. Over that period
of time, we have enabled charities and registered not-for-profit organisations
to reach a wider, global network, based around people who through their own
endeavours want to make a difference in a very real and tangible way.
We also continue to develop and support a number of global organisations in
their Corporate Social Responsibility programs, as well as providing
custom-built solutions for special causes and appeals.

Robyn comes from an Events and Customer Service background, having worked in
Australia in the corporate sector for the past 30 years.
Robyn handles the day to day relationship and account management with our
charities and not for profit partners.

Chelsea has a background in small business management & administration and
has worked in a variety of industries internationally over a number of
years.
Chelsea provides the financial management and technology support for our
charities and not for profit partners, and has been involved with the
company in varying degrees since inception.
What is FundraiseOnline?
FundraiseOnline is a successful web based service provider to the not for
profit sector. We have been providing web donation support capability to the
sector for nearly six years, and have facilitated the raising of over $15
million in that time.
We provide this service to hundreds of not-for-profit entities in Australia,

How does it work?
We have a range of service offerings that can support your fundraising
efforts.
1. Event focused fundraising: Your supporters undertake
events or challenges, register on our site, build a web page (12 clicks and 2
minutes!) and then seek donations from their wider networks - everything is web
based and far reaching, there is no cash handling so it's safe, very low risk
and very low administration impact.
2. Regular Giving: Your supporters can now give on a regular
basis, with FundraiseOnline's new easy and highly secure regular giving
functionality. Simply enter credit card details once, and those details are held
by our bank approved service provider, DPS, and they can give any amount on a
regular monthly basis, fully receipted, fully automated, and highly secure.
3. Ticketing for events: If you are having an event that you
want to sell tickets for, we can manage that through the site - low cost, low
admin, highly effective. It doesn't matter if its 50 tickets, or 5,000. If you

4. Stand Alone Sites: As long as we have been around, we
have been designing, building, deploying, managing and maintaining stand alone

FundraiseOnline operates a low cost, low administration
model, supported by one of the most technically advanced and
secure solution engines available. Through the flexibility
we have built in to our model, we can support:

Given the span of our existing service offering, we are
able to offer complete solutions, depending upon size, in a
matter of hours for smaller organisations, through to less
than four weeks for a completely custom-built, end-to-end
solution with your own unique branding and messages for
larger charities and corporates. We also have options
between both of these to suit a wide range of charities,
schools and not-for-profit organisations.
FundraiseOnline recovers the ongoing cost of running the
website by a small transaction fee levied against each
transaction processed.
This fee is similar in nature to the Credit Card Merchant
fee in that it meets the cost of facilitating the
transaction between your fundraiser, the donor and you the
recipient. In the process we provide a wide range of value
added services.
The small transaction fee covers:
- The hosting and maintenance of your supporters websites,
no matter how many are developed
- The collection and processing of your donations
- The automated tax receipting of individual donations
- The individual thanking of donors
- Settlement of net accumulated transactions to a nominated
bank account
- The provision of detailed reports including full
disclosure of donor details to charities in a format that is
easy to upload to your database
- The donation notification processes to the fundraiser
- 24/7/365 help to FundraiseOnline users
Add to this one of the lowest credit card transaction fees
available, and it all adds up to truly significant value for
our customers.
Our Fee Structure
We charge a 5% service fee on donations made through FundraiseOnline and this
covers our processing costs. Like any service provider, we get charged, and pass
on, credit card fees. We believe our rates are amongst the lowest.
FundraiseOnline is charged $0.28 per transaction - we DO NOT pass this charge on

We support transparency of fees charged in within the Not-for-Profit sector.
When you donate anywhere, always make sure you ask the question - how much of
what I'm donating will get to the charity.
Fee Transparency
We don't hide our fees and charges from anyone, in fact, the exact opposite.
We are proud to publish our fee structure, because it is setting the standard in
the sector. But first, the following is our commitment to our charities and the
donors who use FundraiseOnline:
- We will always publish our fee structure
- There are not, nor will there ever be, hidden costs or fees
- We will always work to keep our credit card fees low - in fact, we
believe, our credit card fees are the lowest available
Fees Q & A
Do you offer discounted fees?
Yes we do. If your organisation raises more than $150,000 per annum (from the
date of your contract) online through FundraiseOnline, we have a program of
escalating discounts you can be part of - just ask us, we are more than happy to
talk to you about this.
Do you charge a per transaction fee?
No, we don't because that cost is included in the transaction fee that we
charge. We get charged a per transaction fee by our service provider, but we do
not directly pass that cost on.
Why do you charge a credit card fee to your customers?
We are charged a credit card fee by the credit card providers on every single
transaction. Our credit card fees are the lowest available (1.3% for Visa and
MasterCard with a slightly higher rate for international cards) because of the
volume of transactions we process for our customers and because the credit card
companies recognise our status as the leading service provider to the
not-for-profit sector. The credit card fee is passed on to our charity partners,
as it is a deductible expense to you - it's not deductible to your donors and as
such does not appear on your receipt. It represents very good value for our
customers, many of whom can pay up to 5% or more for credit card transactions.
As a donor, can I pay the credit card fee?
No, we have made the decision to keep our payment solution simple, and not
add extra complexity around charging your donors for their generosity, nor to
charge an excessive premium on credit card fees. As noted, the credit card fees
we pass on are the lowest available, and they are a deductible expense to our
not-for-profit customers.
Why don't you cap your fees?
Because it penalises our customers. We've been around for over 5 years, and
in that time we have processed literally hundreds of thousands of payments and
donations. Because of this experience we know that the overwhelming percentage
of all donations will be less than $30, and as such, there is no need to cap our
fees, because our fees are already the lowest available for the vast majority of
transactions. Capping fees might look great on paper, but in actual fact, it
costs charitable and not-for-profit organisations more with capped fees. If you
want more details on this, ask us, we are more than happy to show you how
FundraiseOnline fees are the most cost effective available.
Can you process our offline donations, or provide us with banking
facilities?
Fundraisers are able to enter funds raised offline on their fundraising pages
as part of managing their accounts and promoting their efforts and results - and
we don't charge for this service. We don't provide a direct banking service for
our customers, as this isn't a service that we believe adds value for our
customers, and we believe that charging fees for providing such a service, with
very little value added for the customer, is not appropriate. We further believe
that with the lack of accountability and traceability of transactions like this,
with its inherent fraud issues, poses significant ethical issues and as such, we
chose not to do so.
Is it ethical to charge a % fee?
We firmly believe it is. As we note above, we don't charge capped fees or
transaction fees, as we believe capped fees penalise our customers. Our
transaction fees are the most competitive in the market, based on the profile we
have seen for the vast majority of charitable donations. Charging a fixed
minimal 5% transaction fee and being open and honest about our fees we believe
is the most ethical way for us to provide our services.
Are all the funds safe?
Absolutely. All payments made through the FundraiseOnline site are held in
CBA trust accounts until they are settled. In over five years of business, and
having processed hundreds of thousands of donations in that time, we have not
lost a single transaction. And every month all of our customers receive a
detailed breakdown of all the transactions that took place on their account,
together with a reconciliation of the payments and the fees. And FundraiseOnline
has been around for more than five years - our track record speaks volumes for
our stability and trusted status in the market.
Are you a web development company?
No. We are a service provider to the not-for-profit sector, so we don't have
any focus other than providing this service to our customers. All too often we
hear stories of web service company's going out of business, or getting too busy
to look after charities, so very early on we decided that stability was going to
be one of our core fundamentals. And after five years in business, we have a
proven record in delivering quality, timely and cost effective solutions that
really work. We don't just promise, we deliver.
Is it safe using my credit card on the internet?
Yes, very much so. Firstly, we do not keep or store any credit card details
anywhere on our site - our settlement service provider handles all our credit
card transactions. Secondly, we use the highest levels of security protocols and
systems available - your transaction is completely safe.
